Ms. Thomas, a third generation native of Palm Beach County, Florida, graduated from Florida State University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science in Criminology and in Sociology. Ms. Thomas earned a Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law in 2000. While attending the University of Miami, Ms. Thomas was a certified legal intern for both the Public Defender, Second Judicial Circuit, Leon County, Florida and the Public Defender, Eleventh Judicial Circuit, Dade County, Florida.

Ms. Thomas was admitted to to the Bar in 2000 and began her legal career as an Assistant State Attorney for the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit in Martin County, Florida. Following Ms. Thomas' experience as a prosecutor, she practiced in the area of civil law. Ms. Thomas is licensed to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

Ms. Thomas joined Adams, Coogler, Watson, Merkel, Barry & Kellner, P.A. in 2009.
